2 Months Old
Ryan took Chloe for her 2 month appointment yesterday. She got 3 shots. I didn't really want to take off work, plus, I knew I'd cry seeing her cry while getting the shots. She's healthy and doing well though. The Zantac has been working wonders, along with the rice formula. She weighs 9 lbs 11 oz and is 21.5 inches long. She's in the 25th percentile for her height & weight. Ryan has been doing such a good job taking care of her while he works during the day. It took some adjusting for both of them though. But she's doing great on her schedule. Oh, and I'm SO happy......she slept 11 hours 2 nights in a row!! Well, I fed her at 11 PM both nights but she slept through the entire feeding. So she basically slept from 8:30 PM - 7:30 AM! YEAH!! And...she's eating 5 oz every 4 hours. Hopefully she'll fatten up soon. The onesie she has on is still a newborn size!

When I took Hailey for her first shots I was so scared that she was going to flip out like I had seen other babies do in the Dr. I was expecting the worst, but she did very well. She got 4 shots and 1 oral that day.
I'm glad that everything is working out with Ryan taking her to work. I know that I wouldn't get anything done at work if Hailey was with me.
Watching your baby get shots is hard. Carson got 5 shots at his 2 month appointment. I questioned my pediatrician about it because it seemed like an awful lot (and more than I remember the other kids getting) but he swore that it was standard procedure and all kids got 5 shots at the 2 month mark. I think it is really cruel to give a little baby that many injections. Now I am irritated at my doctor because I have heard of several other babies only getting 3 shots. Why is my doctor such a meanie??? My poor baby! Well anyway, hope all is well with your new little family. I look forward to meeting your new addition at the next family party.
