We had quite the experience getting our tree!! This is only the second year we've gotten a real tree...and we have a lot to learn. We went on the Saturday after Thanksgiving and the weather was beautiful. We were walking through the field of trees and we picked out what we thought was one of the "smaller" ones compared to the rest. A guy helped cut the tree down and tie it to our car. The whole time I'm thinking that the tree won't be tall enough. Our friends, Bill & Emily and their kids, were going to stop over so we figured we'd have Bill help carry the tree inside. Once the tree was off the car I realized what a beastie tree we got!! Ryan & Bill carried it inside and we ended up having to cut another foot off the tree so that it wouldn't hit the ceiling (and we have 10 ft ceilings!). Our tree is so big we had to put it in the dining room! But all turned out well. We had fun decorating it. Chloe loved the string lights.
