ER Visit

What a weekend we had!! I went with Mom and Lindsey to a Mom2Mom sale on Saturday morning while Ryan stayed home with Chloe. The sale started at 9:00 AM but we got there at 8:30 to wait in line. The sale opened and I looked at maybe 2 or 3 booths and then Ryan alerted me. All I could hear was screaming and crying coming from Ryan and Chloe in the background. Ryan could barely talk. All I could make out was that they fell down the stairs. Of course I'm freaking out now!! After he calmed down (and was able to catch his breath) he was able to tell me that he slipped on a step and fell down like 4 steps. He threw his body backwards so he wouldn't land on Chloe and his upper back hit the steps ... Chloe bounced out of his arms from about 2 feet of the ground and she landed face-down on the foyer floor. Ryan was in SO much pain he couldn't move. Chloe was screaming on the floor. Ryan was able to get her turned over but he said the two of them laid on the floor crying and screaming for almost 10 mins before he found the strength to get up and feed her. I was over an hour away from home so we called our friends to come and help with Chloe until I could get there. I got home and took Ryan and Chloe to the ER. Ryan had X-rays done and all he did was bruise the muscle really bad. Although, they did find an old compressed fracture from when he fell down wood steps about 5 years ago. The radiologist has to get in touch with us to see if anything needs to be done for the old injury. Other than that he's on a bunch of pain meds and is laying on a heating pad. Chloe had a little gooser on her forehead, the bridge of her nose was pretty swollen and she had linoleum-burn down her nose, upper lip and chin. The most important thing is that there were no serious injuries!! Thank you God for taking care of my family!! Hopefully Chloe heals by Wednesday ... she's supposed to have her 6 month pictures taken! :) Oh well, I can always reschedule.
