The Nursery

OK, so here is the nursery "in-progress". We've made a huge change in this room! It started out with really ugly wallpaper and mint green trim and doors (yes...even the doors were mint green). I have no idea what these people were thinking when they decorated this room...lol. We primed over all the wallpaper. The trim, baseboards and the doors took 4 coats of white paint. Dad came over and put up 1x4 and 1x3's to look like paneling on the lower half of the walls. He did an awesome job! (Thanks Dad!) We painted the "faux" paneling white. We painted the walls a color called "peony"....which I love! We got her crib setup and put most of the bedding on it, I still have to wash the sheets. I bought the dresser from a thrift store for $50 and gave it a fresh coat of paint. All I need to buy is the hardware. And I told Ryan, from the day I found out that I was pregnant, that if we had a girl she would have a pretty chandelier in her room. Well, we have our girl and she has her chandelier! I LOVE the chandelier...it has little crystals that hang off of it. I know I'm probably going overboard on the nursery, but its my first baby :) All that's left is to hang up pics and decor and put her stuff in there. I can't belive I only have 3 weeks left!! Anyway, I'll put another pic of her nursery on when its completely done.

Can't wait to see the finished results, great job you guys! By the way, you are decorating my house when I move home to Michigan, and finally buy one! Love you :-)
