Weekend in Mackinac

Ryan's parents from Florida, John & Peggy, came to Michigan to meet Chloe. They came up last Tuesday and left yesterday. They treated us to a weekend in Mackinac (Chloe's first vacation!). This was the first time they had ever been to northern Michigan. We had such a good time! I thought it was going to be a lot of work taking a 5-week old on a vacation, but Mimi & Poppie were a HUGE help! We went up on Friday and stayed in Mackinac City. We went to the island on Saturday...and had perfect weather. It was in the low 70's and breezy. John & Peggy took the tour of the island while Ryan and I took Chloe to the butterfly conservatory and walked around. Of course, we hit all the shops and went site-seeing. Chloe did so well on the island...I was surprised. Ryan & John went to the casino on Saturday night. Ryan won a few hundred dollars. On Sunday, we went to all the shops in Mackinac City and went to the lighthouse. And, as an added bonus, we went to the E.R. Sunday night to have Chloe checked for dehydration. She caught a viral bug from me and had diarrhea ALL weekend. I was being a paranoid mommy and just needed piece of mind that she was alright...which she was. We came back home on Monday. Monday evening we met up with Ryan's stepdad, David, and with my parents & Aiden for dinner. John & Peggy left early Tuesday morning. We were so sad to see them go. Thanks for coming and for the great weekend!! We love you!!
